Newcastle travel to the Reebok without Habib Beye who is by his own admission three for four weeks away from first team action. Coming back from injury are the likes of Carroll and Guthrie, whether either make it for this crucial away game is doubtful according to most reports.
With Nolan suspended the midfield pack looks set for another shuffle with Alan Smith providing an option. Should R.Taylor fill in as he did against Everton the there may be space in the side for Duff and Jonas. Bolton are in decent form having won their last two home games but the Magpies must go with confidence and a desire to attack the trotters back four which could include the steady but uninspiring Andy O'Brien. Surely the likes of Cahill and O'Brien can't cope with Oba's pace?
The defence picks itself at the moment and Bassong will surely enjoy the physical tussle with Davies and Elmander. It will be more interesting to see what forward line the caretakers put out. Oba is surely in line for a start but in fairness Lovenkrands has done ok whilst Shola is clearly playing with an injury (or three). It may be all change at the front as the Duke has sat patiently waiting for his chance and we may even see Alan Smith return to his 'natural' position.
So, another must win game. The beyewatch boys will be watching events unfold on Sultana Sports apart from BigPerm, who is making the pilgrimage to the Reebok cos he's got a free ticket. Here's hoping Ern manages another stunning interview with a Director now that they've broken radio silence and are putting on a PR charm offensive (and it is offensive isn't it?).
Beyewatch predication: 1-2 and we sing the Blaydon Races all the way home!
Sunday, Monday, Habib Beye
Welcome! www.beyewatch.co.uk was dedicated to all forms of Habib Beye propaganda whilst he played for Newcastle United FC. We're looking for Aston Villa fans to take on the adulation.
Habib Beye loves us (we've met)! Get in touch with us at songs@beyewatch.co.uk
