Some of the Beyewatch boys are exiled in the West Midlands and have made the trek to the Hawthorns. Last I heard they were enjoying tandoori chicken in a local pub, lost in the pre-match banter which includes JFK's trek to hospital. Joe's got a tricky medical history so here's hoping it's nothing serious...
More sickly recently has been the Toon's performances. We welcome back a trio of strikers, two of which blasted us to safety last season in a 4-3-3 push. Owen is missing of course but we can't help feeling that Martins is the man to answer the call.
England's number 1 Steve Harper will fill the void left by Given this week and may see changes ahead of him with Jonas suspended, Carrol injured and Colo requiring a late fitness test. Surely though we should attack the game with confidence. The Baggies have played wonderful football at times but lack a cutting edge. Providing we can sort out our defence we should have more than enough threat to capitalise.
Taking nothing for granted this is not only a six-pointer, it's must win game. Defeat is not an option and surely a failure to beat the leagues bottom club would see us in the sick bed next to JFK with the heart rate monitor showing a worryingly high blood pressure!
Beyewatch prediction: 0 - 2
