Sunday, Monday, Habib Beye

Welcome! www.beyewatch.co.uk was dedicated to all forms of Habib Beye propaganda whilst he played for Newcastle United FC. We're looking for Aston Villa fans to take on the adulation.

Song - Merry Christmas Everybody

Boratonline (aka The Hamster) has decided to give us a Christmas treat. Pre-empting one of our advent calendar songs, Boratonline has done a version of Slade's 'Merry Christmas Everybody'. Here's the wonderfully optimistic version of his song on youtube.

"He's the best right back to ever kick a ball,
and he's in a team that's getting points n'all.

Sets them up for Owen and Oba,
We're seeing things we can't believe.
Say goodbye to relegation... Champions' League!

So Habib Beye, Merry Christmas. Oh we're going on a run.
From Haymarket to the Quayside, all the Geordies having fun."

You can check out all our videos and those sent in by our fans on our youtube page at http://www.youtube.com/beyewatch

Don't forget to look out for the official Beyewatch.co.uk version hidden behind an upcoming window on our advent calendar.

When Jim Courier goes wrong.

Do BayWatch songs not have to rhyme with Beye anymore?

Three things:

1. Getting the lyric "n'all" into any song is a classy effort.

2. The official Habib Beye hat is lost - apologies for the twocka style cap - looks like I'm ready to crap on the floor and then rob the 42" wide screen after singing.

3. If we get beat of Tottenham on Sunday then this song is nonsense - no winning run - no goodbye to relegation battle. But if we win... we could be up to 9th or 10th.

Bongo,

Two versions of the same song!

I haven't been this excited since September 1991 when it was announced that Use Your Illusion II would have an alternative lyric version of Rose and Stradlin's "Don't cry".

17 years on the jury is still out as to which is the best version.

Some would say the second version is the best, indeed Illusion II is to this day commercially the more successful album. But I'd go with what an old friend used to say to me. And that is that the "Earliest stuff is always the best".

But we'll let the beyewatch fans be the judge.
