After Saturday's unmentionable result we have a chance to put it all behind us by gaining an essential three points at home to the baggies.
Habib Beye's first real game back was fairly subdued and he was only really set free down the right after the removal of Geremi in the second half.
Kinnear is now starting to have options in the squad and will be faced with one or two difficult decisions. Ameobi was playing like a man possessed in the first half against the mackems however, his second half display would suggest that there was an exorcism at half time. Another man who had a second half to forget was Bassong who struggled to cope with the conditions and long balls played towards him.
Jonas and Barton added a bit of spark late on, Jonas in particular already looking ahead of many of his teamates in terms of match fitness and must be almost nailed on to start tomorrow night.
Anyway, Habib has apologised in today's chronicle (which by the way is getting a little carried away with it's publication of "our first derby defeat since 1980", that's just in the dark place lads. A few of us at Beyewatch have a few recent bad memories a little closer and still painful) and is as usual one of the first to come out and take it on the chin. We fancy him for a goal tonight!
Beyewatch prediction 3-1Newcastle based mystic Dean 'Midas' Maynard wants a piece of the beyewatch action. His prediction? 3 - 1 and a happy halloween....
Sunday, Monday, Habib Beye
Welcome! www.beyewatch.co.uk was dedicated to all forms of Habib Beye propaganda whilst he played for Newcastle United FC. We're looking for Aston Villa fans to take on the adulation.
Habib Beye loves us (we've met)! Get in touch with us at songs@beyewatch.co.uk
