Pre-season vs PSV

Will Habib Beye make his first appearance of the pre-season tonight against PSV Eindhoven? Well, www.nufc.com are reporting that Habib Beye may turn out saying:

"Habib Beye expects to play his first game of pre-season."

Our sources tell us that Habib is unlikely to make it onto the pitch tonight and may even struggle to be ready for Valencia later in the week. I suppose we'll see how good our sources are on this one.

If Beye doesn't make it then there's another opportunity for David Edgar or Geremi to stand in. We'd prefer to see youth given a chance but the un-spectacular Geremi may be a more solid bet if we go into the new season without Habib or specialist cover at right back. Our feeling is that Habib will be ready for the season's kick of at Old Trafford. He appears naturally fit and we fully expect him to carry on from where he left off last season.... our best player.
