Habib Beye played a heartening 86 minutes in front of a decent St James' crowd which included new boy Fabricio Coloccini. Beye did well against a talented Valencia frontline with a good first 45 minutes against Euro 2008 winner Silva. Habib appears ready for the season opener although there has been little mention about the ankle problems which have blighted his pre-season. We can only hope that plenty of ice and previous rest have helped solve the problem.
Spiderman stole the show with a solid performance full of pace, skill and determination. We think that he and Milner will produce an exciting twin attack with their policy appearing to be to switch flanks every 15 minutes. Providing Beye and Enrique can work with the duo we have the potential to produce exciting wing play for a prolonged period, not just the counter-attacking seen against Valencia.
Sunday, Monday, Habib Beye
Welcome! www.beyewatch.co.uk was dedicated to all forms of Habib Beye propaganda whilst he played for Newcastle United FC. We're looking for Aston Villa fans to take on the adulation.
