Weird how you build opinions of footballers based on a decision they made or how they carry themselves on the pitch. I've never liked Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink because he moans, even when he scores. I like Sylvain Distin less because it appears he walked out on the Mags for a bit of extra cash.
Having just witnessed the pair's interaction with Sir Bobby Robson in the build up to the FA Cup Final, my opinion on both has changed. Sir Bobby had a special word for Distin and there appeared a genuine warmth between the two. Hasselbaink was singled out too and he and Sir Bobby shared a hug and a giggle. All too often, us fans build up these views of players based on what we see in the papers. I for one might think twice when building a negative picture of a player in future. After all, if they're good enough for Sir Bobby then they're good enough for the beyewatch boys.... Mind you, using that logic, Bellamy and Dyer are probably good lads too?!
