Sunday, Monday, Habib Beye

Welcome! www.beyewatch.co.uk was dedicated to all forms of Habib Beye propaganda whilst he played for Newcastle United FC. We're looking for Aston Villa fans to take on the adulation.

Habib Beye loves us (we've met)! Get in touch with us at songs@beyewatch.co.uk

National Press

www.beyewatch.co.uk featured in the national press for the first time today. The Daily Express ran a small article on Habib Beye throwing his shirt into the crowd at Everton after the 3-1 defeat at Goodison on Sunday.

As delighted as we were with the article, we can't in good conscience take credit for anyone singing 'Happy Days'. As we've said before, that song and a few pints of stout were the inspiration for beyewatch. If we find the person who first came up with 'Happy Days' we'll gladly celebrate their good taste and genius. Nominations on a postcard please.....

In case you haven't seen the article....

When a player throws his shirt to the crowd it is often a sign of a goodbye. But that is not the case with Habib Beye who regularly throws his shirt to fans at the end of matches and has been on of Newcastle's players of the season. Beye is not short of admirers on Tyneside and one group has set up beyewatch.co.uk, a web page in homage to the defender. They were responsible for the brilliant "Sunday, Monday, Habib Beye" chant which has brightened up some dull games at St James' Park. One of the founders' stated aims is to "produce an image (genuine or otherwise) of Habib in a pair of speedos".

Any progress on that picture of Habib in speedos? Does that particular aim make us sound pervy?
