Last Game in a Black and White Shirt.....

.....this season at least! It looks like Habib Beye is well on the way to pipping Nicky Butt et all for player of the season. Our poll seems conclusive enough to have us thinking that we're on the right track as far as choosing which player to back with a deluge of songs.

Habib and the lads take a trip to Merseyside to tackle the toffees today, leaving Joey Barton at some services on the M62 because he's not allowed in the City of Culture's limits. The Beyewatch boys spent some time recently in Liverpool, below Yakubu's apartment in the Albert Docks. We had a great time of it and expect our away fans to have a blast. For those of you looking for an alternative Liverpool experience, away from a fracas outside of fast food outlets, check out the Slaughterhouse pub which does good ale and usually has a decent band on.

It will be interesting to see who KK picks in the absence of Viduka and Barton. I suspect it will be Smith and Duff but it would be good to give Andy Carroll a run out. Perhaps the poor-of-late Geremi will be rested to allow all 3 to play. Again, we're hoping to shape someone else's season rather than our own and it should be a good yardstick to measure the size of our task next season.

PS ITVLocal still isn't carrying the most recent episode of Soccer Night. Let's see if a bit of YouTube magic can sort that out?!
